Tips and Tricks to get the very best vacation rental experience:

When to book & When to go:

  • The sooner your group can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The best properties are reserved very early. Reserving your vacation rental up to 12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and book your rental property.
  • June, July, and August are high season in the Carolina Beach area. To find the best value, change your family's Carolina Beach trip dates to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer warmer temperatures, fewer crowds, and reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Carolina Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host if your group qualifies for a discount.
  • Booking websites typically offer customers an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
  • Often, property management companies supply Carolina Beach area visitors guides that include special deals, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Carolina Beach area magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

How to choose and book the perfectrental home:

  • Choose your dates and max budget.
  • Note the number beds and the bed configuration your group requires. 0912 White Linen Room by Atlantic Towers has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is usually available on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, email or call the property owner before reserving your home. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to establish what configuration is best for your family.
  • Some rentals allow pets, and some don't. Acceptable types of pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask your host about your furry family members before booking.
  • If there's a particular Carolina Beach attraction you crave, search for rentals that are either nearby, or those that cater to your requirements.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.

During your stay:

  • Be sure you get the owner's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your . Put the manager's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Hosts are there to help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
  • Keep the property locked while you are away! Don't let burglars spoil your family vacation.
  • To make sure that damages aren't linked to your visit, make a record of any problem areas when you arrive. Call the host right away to record any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Be respectful of your neighbors. Often times, surrounding homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking policies is the right thing to do.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Double-check every room of the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all belongings at check-out. Re-check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Walk through the rental one final time and look for any damage. We suggest walking through with the host whenever possible. If the property manager isn't available, take photos of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your group have a fantastic vacation? Most rental managers make it easy for clients to provide reviews. If your property and/or property management company was great, they would love to hear it. If anything was out of order and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
