When to go & When to reserve a Wilmington rental home:

• In the Carolina Beach area, The sooner your group can book a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental properties are reserved very early. Booking your vacation property six - twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and book your vacation home.
• June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Wilmington. To book the largest rental home within your budget, we strongly suggest reserving in the Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at the beach and popular attractions. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Carolina Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
• Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager if your family qualifies for a special rate.
• Booking websites often offer guests an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can usually help. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
• When it's time to leave, complete a final walk-through to confirm you have not leave anything behind. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
• Walk through the property one final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager isn't available, take video of the property to record its condition.
