Tips and Tricks to get the very best Carolina Beach rental experience:

When to visit Wilmington & When to book:

  • Summer time is high season in the Carolina Beach area. Book your Carolina Beach rental in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons to enjoy warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer.
  • The earlier you can reserve a home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable properties are reserved very early. Booking your vacation home up to 12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and book your rental property.
  • Hosts sometimes offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your property manager if special offers are available for your group.
  • Property managers usually offer customers an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
  • Look for your local Carolina Beach visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitors guides contain deals for local tours, shops, and attractions.

Choosing and booking your Carolina Beach vacation home:

  • Select a group leader, select your dates, and select a max budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the configuration your group requires. Lullaby By The Lake has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Precise details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is generally available on booking pages. If not, contact the host before reserving the home. Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds in living rooms.
  • If there's an individual Carolina Beach destination you crave, look for homes that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your needs.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before reserving a rental
  • If your family is bringing pets, filter your search for a pet-friendly property. Ask for details on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Usually, hosts charge pet deposits and fees.

Know before you go:

  • Get the property manager's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your . Put the manager's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Make a record of any issues with the property upon arrival, and immediately contact the host. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that can be valuable if damages are assessed.
  • Hosts are there to help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud vacationers bothering your home life. Practice the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and scenic spots you would've not otherwise known!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Protect the owner (and your stuff!) by locking and securing the home when you are gone, just like you would back home.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, take a walk through the rental property to confirm you've collected all of your things. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the property one final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager isn't available, ensure that you take pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • After your trip, leave feedback! Property managers rely on excellent ratings to propel new reservations. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other families will appreciate that you share your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
