Tips to get the best vacation property experience:

How to get the best value:

  • Reserving a rental home in the Spring or Fall is a great way to save on your rental home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable homes.
  • The earlier your group can reserve a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The best rental homes are booked early. Reserving your vacation rental 6-12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host if your group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Property management companies frequently offer customers an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for details.
  • Often, rental management companies supply Carolina Beach area travel guide magazines which include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Carolina Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Use filters to search efficiently:

  • Choose your vacation week and maximum budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. 0701 The Green Starfish by Atlantic Towers has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is often accessible on booking pages. If they are not listed, email the property owner before you reserve the home. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches. You'll need to work out what configuration is suitable for your vacation.
  • Does your group require specific amenities? Most websites include search filters with amenity lists. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find the perfect rental home.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before booking
  • Some rental properties allow pets, and others do not. Acceptable types of pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional charges may apply. Ask your host about allowable breeds and types before booking.

Considerations for your stay:

  • Add the property manager's contact information to your smartphone. Take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
  • Upon arrival, note any damages to the property and immediately alert the property manager. Keep records of all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
  • Property managers are great sources of help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Respect your neighbors. Frequently, adjacent homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Keep your rental home locked while you're away! Don't let thieves spoil your trip.
  • Double-check the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all belongings at departure. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Walk through the rental a final time and look for damage. We advise walking through with the host whenever possible. If the manager isn't available, ensure that you take video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did you have a excellent vacation? Many rental managers make it easy for travelers to provide feedback. If your property and/or property management company was fantastic, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was inoperable and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
