Our top Rental property booking tips:

Cost saving strategies:

  • Summer months are high season in the Carolina Beach area. To get the best value, change your group's trip dates to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and even October offer great temperatures, fewer crowds, and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Carolina Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • In the Carolina Beach area, The earlier you can reserve a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The best rental properties are reserved very early. Reserving your vacation property six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and book your rental property.
  • Some hosts offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your property manager if discounts are available for your family.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners often offer guests an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for more information.
  • Find a copy of your local Carolina Beach area magazine when you check-in. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local information, visitor guide magazines have offers and deals for nearby tours, shops, and attractions.

Make a plan and pick a perfect Carolina Beach vacation home:

  • Choose vacation dates and spending budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Oceanfront, Saltwater Pool, Condo in Carolina Beach has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed types is generally accessible on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, email or call the property management company before reserving the vacation property. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds in living rooms.
  • If there's a particular Carolina Beach destination you long to visit, look for rentals that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. .
  • If your group is vacationing with pets, you must reserve a pet-friendly vacation rental. Get details on breed, size, and type requirements. Usually, hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.

During your stay:

  • Be sure you get the host's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental.
  • Document any issues with the property during check in, and immediately contact the property manager. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that can be valuable if damages are assessed.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, intercom or washer/dryer. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief call prevents many difficulties.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant vacationers disrupting your peaceful home. Use the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and attractions you would have not otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Protect the property owner (and your things!) by keeping the rental locked up when you are gone, just like you would at home.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, walk through the rental property to confirm you've collected all belongings. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the rental one final time and keep an eye out for damage. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager is not available, take pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • After your trip, leave feedback! Property managers rely on excellent reviews to propel more reservations. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other families will be thankful you shared your experience find their best vacation rental. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to fix it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
