Searching for the ideal beach rental to serve as your homebase while you hop from adventure to adventure during your next hideaway? Then look no further than Lily’s Pad! Located on Caswell Beach, this ocean view home with a private pool and two hot tubs offers convenient public beach access and welcomes up to two dogs per stay.

Step into the comfortable living room and settle on the curved sectional to watch a movie on the enormous intelligent TV or relax in front of the fireplace. Warm wood tones, shades of aqua and pops of tropical orange give off coastal vibes that harmonize with the charming marsh vistas beyond. Pluck a novel from the mantle and settle in the recliner with your next beach read as you listen to shorebirds call.

The wooden dining table is set for six but can seat up to eight for meals or a friendly game of UNO or Monopoly. Five additional seats are available at the adjacent breakfast bar. The kitchen provides everything you need to prepare, whether you’re whipping up a fast afternoon snack or starting off the day with a full breakfast spread, along with plenty of serving and dinnerware.

Each bedroom in the home features a TV for personal entertainment, ceiling fans for comfort and the privacy of an en suite bath. The queen bedroom offers a pair of dressers and a wardrobe to ensure there’s plenty of room for your belongings. The attached bath is furnished with a pedestal sink and a step-in tile shower stall with a constructed-in shower bench. The twin bedroom also provides a dresser for storage, and the shower stall for this bath features a wide door and walk in entry that make it easier to aid younger kids. A laundry closet is conveniently located between these bedrooms with a full-sized washer and dryer.

The master suite is located on the upper level with a door at the bottom of the stairs to offer additional privacy. The loft-style room with vaulted ceilings is broad and furnished with a king bed, where you can wake up to vistas of the Atlantic via the sliding glass doors that lead to a modest balcony. A dressing area provides plenty of space to get ready each day, with a settee, wardrobe, vanity and full-length mirror available. A dining table against the wall means you can sneak a private meal upstairs away from the bustle of the group, and a private seating area accepts you to take in impressive vistas across to Southport from that sunbathed interior or the private deck beyond. The attached master bathroom offers a vanity with his and hers sinks and a huge step in shower stall with an antique-style rain showerhead.

The rest of the family has access to spectacular outdoor spaces as well! Appreciate your coffee on the covered front porch as you watch the sunlight reflect on the waves or look for porpoises playing in the surf. Dine al fresco on the partially covered back deck as the kids play in the pool below, or soak in the elevated hot tub without needing to venture down to the pool deck and savor the sweeping vistas of the horizon beyond.

The pool area is completely fenced for safety and features both a pool and a hot tub, as well as classic pool loungers where you can relax and soak in the sun. Pool heating is available upon advance request with an additional fee. A park grille is included for your family’s bar-b-que master, and you’ll also find a fish-cleaning station that your star angler can put to use. Tucked beneath the stairs is a sheltered outdoor shower with hot and cold water. While not entirely enclosed, this convenient rinse off is still private and a welcome aid for washing sand off of babies and fur-babies alike.

When you’re ready to head to the beach, the closest access point is just four homes to the left and across the street. If you need a break from the sun and sand, a variety of adventures await, from exploring the Oak Island Lighthouse that’s practically next door to venturing over the bridge into Southport to discover the oceanside town that you can see from your back deck! Or stay on the island and venture into the Oak Island city limits instead, where you’ll find a variety of stores, eateries, arcades and other activities that you can reach in a short drive of five to ten mins.. We know that however you like to fill the hours of your beach vacation, Lily’s Pad is the jumping off point you’ve been waiting for!

Guests should note that an additional pool heating fee is required for each day a guest requests pool heating. Guest must request the pool heating and pay the fee by calling the OIA office during normal business hours at least 48 hours prior to arrival. Pool heating is only available when temperatures are 55 degrees Fahrenheit and warmer.

How to book the best rental home experience:

Money saving strategies:

  • Summer months are high season in the Carolina Beach area. To book the largest rental home within your budget, we recommend reserving in Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of giant crowds at Carolina Beach restaurants, tours, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Carolina Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
  • In the Carolina Beach area, The sooner your group can book a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The best rental homes are reserved very early. Reserving your vacation property 6-12 months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner whether your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Property management companies often offer guests an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for more information.
  • Find a copy of your local Carolina Beach visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, travel guides contain discounts for nearby accommodations, tours and attractions.

Filter your rental search:

  • First, have your group choose date ranges and a maximum budget.
  • Note the number beds and the configuration your family needs. Lily's Pad: Coastal Cottage with Pool, Two Hot Tubs has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is commonly accessible on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, call the host before booking your rental. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds. You will need to work out what is suitable for your trip.
  • If there's a specific Carolina Beach beach you crave, search for rentals that are either nearby, or those that cater to your needs.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before reserving a rental.
  • Remember to include your furry companions! Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your agreement! Extra fees or might be applied to your contract.

Some things to know before you go:

  • Be sure you get the owner's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your . Put the host's contact information in your smartphone.
  • To ensure that no damages are attributed to your family's stay, note any problem areas during arrival. text the property manager immediately to relay any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, stereo or thermostat. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents quite a few concerns.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You'll magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are often an excellent resource to find the best local beaches and hangouts.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Lock your rental home while you're out. Keep your property safe!
  • Re-check every room of the rental property to confirm that you've packed all of your family's items at departure. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did you have a wonderful stay? Most rental websites make it easy for clients to provide comments. If your property and/or host was fantastic, they would love to hear it. If anything was wrong and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
