Tips and Tricks to get the very best rental home experience:

Get the most from your vacation rental budget:

  • Summer months are the most expensive season along the coast of NC. Reserve your vacation in Fall or Spring months to enjoy gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowds.
  • In the Carolina Beach area, The sooner you can book a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The best properties are booked early. Booking your rental six - twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and book your rental home.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner whether your group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
  • Booking websites often offer guests an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for details.
  • Often, property management companies supply Carolina Beach area visitors guide magazines which often include special offers, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Carolina Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Finding the best rental home:

  • Begin by selecting the best vacation week and a spending budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Gorgeous Bungalow, near Cargo District & Downtown has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed types is almost always accessible online. If they are not listed, call the property manager before reserving the home. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds.
  • Does your group require specific amenities? Most websites include search filters for amenities.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before booking.
  • Are you bringing the family pet? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your rental agreement! Additional fees or could be applied to your contract.

Advice for your stay:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before traveling. Take a printed copy, and add a note with the directions to your smartphone.
  • To make certain damages aren't attributed to your visit, note any problem areas when you arrive. Make contact with the property manager right away to report your findings. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Hosts are available to help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud visitors disrupting your peace. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and attractions you would've not otherwise known!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Lock your rental property while you are away! Don't let crooks ruin your family vacation.
  • On check-out day, take a walk-through to make sure you haven't forget any personal items. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the property a final time and keep an eye out for damage. We advise walking through with the host whenever possible. If the property manager is not available, ensure that you take pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your family have a excellent time? Many rental management companies make it easy for customers to provide comments. If your rental and/or host was fantastic, they would love to hear about it. If anything was wrong and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
