Rental property booking tips:

Get the most from your rental budget:

  • Summer months are high season in Ocean Isle Beach. Book your vacation in Fall or Spring to enjoy gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Carolina Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
  • Reserve your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules usually open twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families book their Summer rental homes during Thanksgiving and Christmas get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Owners sometimes offer discounts for veterans. Ask your host or property manager if discounts are available for your family before you book.
  • Booking websites usually offer their guests an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for specifics.
  • Often, property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Carolina Beach area travel guides which include coupons, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Carolina Beach area magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Use filters to narrow your rental search:

  • Start by having your family agree to a vacation week and a budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the configuration your family needs. Fun In The Sun- 6 bedroom on the canal! has 6 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is commonly accessible on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, email or call the host before you reserve the home. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull out couches in living rooms. You will need to determine which bed configuration is best for your family.
  • Looking for specific amenities? Most rental websites include search filters for amenities. Use these filters to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
  • Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. .
  • Remember to include your furry companions! Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Pet fees or charges applied to your agreement.

Additional considerations:

  • Take a copy of the property manager's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your . Put the manager's information in your smartphone.
  • Note any damages to the property at check in, and immediately contact the owner. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are valuable if damages are attributed to your stay.
  • Property managers are great sources of help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor. Often times, surrounding homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can often help. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by locking and securing the home while you are away, just like you would at home.
  • Just prior to departing, take a walk-through to confirm you have not leave anything behind. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • After your trip, leave feedback! Property owners rely on excellent feedback to stimulate future bookings. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationers will will be grateful for your feedback find their best rental home. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to remedy it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
