Tips to get the optimal rental experience:

When to visit & When to book:

  • The sooner you can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable properties are reserved early. Reserving your vacation rental up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental property.
  • Reserving a rental home in Fall or Spring months is a good way to save money on your vacation rental. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of desirable properties. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Carolina Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer special rates for veterans. Ask your property manager if special offers are available for your group before you book.
  • Property management companies frequently offer their guests an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally costs between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for more information.
  • Find a copy of your local visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local articles, visitor guides contain deals for nearby shops and restaurants.

Planning, picking, and booking a perfectrental home:

  • Begin by choosing your potential vacation weeks and a spending budget.
  • Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration you need. Cozy Bungalow just off Castle St has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is commonly accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, call the property management company before you reserve the property. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches.
  • Some properties allow pets, and some do not. Acceptable types of pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask your host about allowable pet guidelines before booking.
  • Does your family require special amenities? Most websites include amenity lists and search filters. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. .

More tips for your stay:

  • Add the host's information to your smartphone. Take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, A/V setup or appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents lots of difficulties.
  • Lock your rental home while you're out and about. Protect your property!
  • To ensure that no damages are attributed to your visit, inspect the property for any problem areas when you arrive. message the host immediately to record any issues. If there is a dispute, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are often a fantastic source for finding the best local attractions.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Just prior to departing, take a final walk-through to confirm you haven't forget anything. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the rental a final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager is not available, ensure that you take photos and video of the property to record its condition.
  • Did your group have a terrific time? Many rental home management companies make it easy for vacationers to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or property management company was terrific, they would love to hear about it. If anything was defective and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
