Tips to get the perfect Carolina Beach rental home experience:

Money saving strategies:

  • To book the most suitable vacation home for your budget, we highly recommend reserving in the Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at popular Carolina Beach attractions and restaurants. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Carolina Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
  • The earlier you can book, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation homes are booked very early. Booking your rental property six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and book your rental home.
  • Property management companies sometimes offer promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your host or property manager if special discounts are available for your group before you book.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners often offer customers an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for more information.
  • Look for your local visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, visitors guide magazines contain offers and deals for nearby restaurants, attractions, and tours.

Planning and picking your prefectrental home:

  • Start by having your family decide on date ranges and a max budget.
  • Note the number beds and the bed configuration your family needs. Coast of Somewhere Beautiful - Sunset Properties has 6 bedrooms and 7 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Carolina Beach vacation rental search.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is normally available on booking pages. If not, reach out to the property manager before you book your home. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds and bunks.
  • Visiting for a single event or attraction? If so, use a map search to find nearby properties.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. .
  • If your group is bringing pets, you must reserve a property that allows animals. Make sure to ask for specifics on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Be aware that some hosts charge pet deposits and fees.

Tips for your stay:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Save the instructions to your phone, and take a printed backup.
  • To ensure that damages aren't linked to your family's stay, note any problem areas upon your arrival. Make contact with the host right away to record any damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, elevator or kitchen appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief call prevents lots of problems.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay more pleasurable. You will magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are often a terrific source for finding the best local beaches.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Ensure you protect the property owner (and your things!) by locking the rental when you are out, just like you would at home.
  • Just prior to departing, take a final walk-through to confirm you have not forget anything. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the property a final time and scan for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the property manager is not available, ensure that you take video and pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your family have a excellent stay? Most rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or property manager was great, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was amiss and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
