**Dock Holiday is one side of a duplex (two sides) and, as such, some amenities will be shared between both sides of the property.

This roomy oceanfront home offers striking ocean vistas and plenty of amenities for your ideal beach hideaway. With central air, complimentary Wi-Fi, cable TV, and parking for 3-4 cars, the home is designed for both comfort and convenience. Unwind on the private balcony or deck, complete with deck chairs and a gas grille, ideal for outdoor dining and soaking in the coastal breeze. The living room, located on the 3rd floor, features a flat-screen TV, seating for seven, two rocking chairs, and access to an ocean-view balcony.

The kitchen and dining area offer plenty of space to prepare and savor meals together, with a dining table for eight and a kitchen counter with five bar stools. Modern appliances, including a refrigerator, flat-top stove, microwave, and modest appliances like a coffee maker and blender, make meal prep a breeze. The home also includes a washer and dryer for added convenience.

With five bedrooms, including two master suites, everybody will have their own space to relax. The first master suite on the 2nd floor offers ocean vistas, a king bed, a private bathroom with a Jacuzzi tub and separate shower, and a private balcony. The second master suite also features a king bed, a private bath, and a balcony. Three additional bedrooms include a king bed, a queen bed, and a bunk room with full-sized beds and a twin trundle. The home has 4.5 bathrooms, ensuring plenty of space for everybody.

  • June, July, and August are high season in the Carolina Beach area. Booking a rental in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons is our favorite way to save money on your rental home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of desirable homes. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Carolina Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
  • Book your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually become available a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families book their Summer rental homes during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host if your group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Property management companies typically offer customers an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which generally will cost between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.

  • Visiting for a single event or attraction? If so, use a map search to locate nearby rentals.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
  • Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Pet fees or costs applied to your contract.

More considerations:

  • Add the owner's information to your smartphone. Print and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
  • Document any damages to the rental at check in, and immediately contact the property manager. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be very helpful if there is a dispute.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, television set or washer/dryer. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent a lot of concerns.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful visitors disrupting your peaceful home. Practice the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and scenic spots you would've not otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can often help. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Protect the owner (and your things!) by locking the rental while you are gone, just like you would at home.
  • Double-check every room of the rental property to make sure that you've packed all personal items at departure. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Walk through the rental one final time and look for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager is not available, take pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your family have a terrific vacation? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for customers to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or host was great, they would love to hear it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
