How to get the best Carolina Beach vacation home experience:

Find your perfect vacation home:

  • Summer months are high season in the Carolina Beach area. Reserving a rental home in the Spring or Fall is one of our best tips for saving money on your vacation. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of desirable homes. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer months.
  • Reserve your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually become available a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups book their Summer rentals during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Some hosts offer promotional rates for veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if special offers are available for your family.
  • Property management companies usually offer their guests an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally costs between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for additional information.
  • Find a copy of your local Carolina Beach visitors guide magazine upon arrival. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, travel guide magazines contain money saving offers on nearby attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.

Make a plan and choose your prefect Carolina Beach rental home:

  • First, have your family agree to trip dates and a budget.
  • Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration you need. Hobbs Realty - Private Dock on Intracoastal Waterway & Separate Suite on Ground Floor has 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Carolina Beach rentals search.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed types is regularly available online. Otherwise, reach out to the property manager before booking the home. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull out couches in living rooms.
  • Visiting for a single attraction? If so, use a map search to locate nearby rentals.
  • Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. .
  • Some rentals allow pets, but others do not. Acceptable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask the property management company about allowable breeds and types before booking.

Know before you go:

  • Take a copy of the host's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your . Store the manager's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • During check-in, document any issues with the property and immediately contact the host. Keep records of all coorespondence.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, television set or thermostat. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents many issues.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful visitors disrupting your home life. Apply the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and attractions you would have not otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Lock your rental home while you're out. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
  • Just prior to departing, complete a final walk-through to confirm you have not forget anything. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did your family have a excellent time? Most rental home management companies make it easy for travelers to provide comments. If your property and/or property manager was wonderful, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was defective and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
