Tips and Tricks for getting the best Carolina Beach vacation rental experience:

When to book & When to go:

  • In the Carolina Beach area, The earlier you can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental properties are booked early. Reserving your rental six to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation rental.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal NC. Reserving a rental home in Fall or Spring is one of our best tips for saving money on your rental home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of acceptable properties. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer months.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager whether your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Booking websites often offer their guests an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for specifics.
  • Often, management companies and vacation rental houses supply Carolina Beach area travel guide magazines that include special offers, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Carolina Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Narrow your rental Search:

  • First, have your family commit to trip dates and a spending budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the configuration you need. CANAL FRONT. PRIVATE DOCK. SLEEPS 8. BEACH ACCESS @ END OF STREET. 2 KAYAKS. has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Carolina Beach vacation rental search.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is generally accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, contact the property management company before you reserve your rental. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull out couches in living rooms.
  • If your group is bringing pets, you must book a property that allows animals. Get information on breed, size, and type restrictions. Often, property owners require additional pet deposits and fees.
  • Visiting for a specific attraction or event? Try a map search to browse nearby properties.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. .

Considerations for your stay:

  • We recommend storing the owner's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, elevator or washer/dryer. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents quite a few concerns.
  • Ensure you protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by locking the rental while you are gone, just like you would at home.
  • To make certain that damages aren't attributed to your family's stay, note any problem areas upon your arrival. Call the rental manager immediately to document any damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Respect the neighborhood. Often, surrounding homes are filled by local residents. Respecting noise limits and parking policies reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can typically help. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the rental to make sure you've collected all belongings. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the property one final time and scan for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the property manager isn't available, ensure that you take video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your family have a terrific time? Many rental home management companies make it easy for customers to provide reviews. If your property and/or property manager was great, they would love to hear about it. If anything was amiss and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
