Strategies to get the perfect vacation property experience:

Sticking to a rental budget:

  • Summer months are the most expensive season in coastal NC. Booking your vacation home in the Fall or Spring is our favorite way to save money on your vacation rental. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable homes. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Carolina Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • Reserve your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules often become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families book their Summer vacations during Thanksgiving and Christmas get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host if your group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Property management companies often offer guests an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for details.
  • Find a copy of your local Carolina Beach area magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitors guide magazines have money saving offers on nearby restaurants, attractions, and tours.

Filter your rental search:

  • Choose a group leader, select your dates, and select a spending budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration you need. Brand New 7 Bedroom 7 Full Bath and 2 Half Bath House, Oceanfront, Pool, Sleeps has 8 bedrooms and 9 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Carolina Beach rentals search.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is normally available on booking websites. If they are not listed, call the host before booking the vacation home. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches. You will need to determine what configuration is optimal for your group.
  • If there's a certain Carolina Beach attraction you love, look for rentals that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your needs.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Remember to confirm all required amenities are available and included before booking
  • If your family is traveling with pets, filter your search for a property that allows animals. Get details on breed, weight, and type requirements. Usually, hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.

Tips to have a great stay:

  • Add the property manager's phone number to your smartphone. Print and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • To make sure no damages are attributed to your family's stay, record any problem areas when you arrive. message the property manager right away to relay any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, stereo or appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents lots of concerns.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay more pleasurable. You'll magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are a terrific resource to find the best local spots.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can frequently help. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Lock your rental while you're out and about. Protect the owner's property and your things!
  • When it's time to leave, complete a walk-through to confirm you haven't forget anything. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Please make sure to walk through the property a final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the manager is not available, ensure that you take photos and video of the property to record its condition.
  • Did your family have a fantastic vacation? Most rental management companies make it easy for guests to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or property management company was wonderful, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was imperfect and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
