Money saving strategies:

  • Summertime is the most expensive season along the coast of NC. Booking in Spring or Fall is our favorite way to save money on your vacation home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of acceptable homes. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during June, July, and August.
  • The sooner you can book a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The best rental properties are reserved very early. Reserving your rental 6-12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and book your rental.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host if your family qualifies for a special rate.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer customers an option to buy vacation insurance protection.   • When it's time to leave, take a walk-through to confirm you have not forget any personal items. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Please make sure to walk through the property a final time and scan for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the host isn't available, take pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your group have a terrific vacation? Most rental management companies make it easy for travelers to provide comments. If your rental and/or property management company was fantastic, they will likely appreciate your kind words.
