Rental property booking tips and tricks:

Sticking to a spending plan:

  • In the Carolina Beach area, The earlier your group can reserve a home, the better your selection will be. The best rental properties are booked very early. Reserving your rental six to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and book your vacation home.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of NC. To book the most suitable rental home within your budget, we highly recommend booking in Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at local restaurants, tours, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Carolina Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • Some property managers offer promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Ask your property manager if rate reductions are available for your family before you book.
  • Booking websites usually offer guests an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed days as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for more information.
  • Many rental management companies supply Carolina Beach area travel guides that include coupons, either offered independently by local companies, or through a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Carolina Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

How to choose the perfect vacation home:

  • To start, have your group commit to vacation dates and a max budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration your family needs. Need that Long wknd? Great Views! Short Stroll to beach! Elevator 5 bdrm 6 decks has 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts is generally accessible on booking pages. If not, reach out to the property management company before booking your home. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds and bunks.
  • Some rental properties allow pets, and others do not. Acceptable types of dog or cat, size and breeds may be restricted, and added fees may apply. Ask your host about pets before booking.
  • Are you looking for particular amenities? Most websites include amenity lists and search filters. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find the best rental home.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. .

Know before you go:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Save the directions to your phone, and take a printed copy.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, elevator or thermostat. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent lots of issues.
  • Keep your rental home locked while you are gone! Don't let burglars spoil your vacation.
  • Upon arrival, make note of any issues with the rental property and immediately alert the host. Keep records of all coorespondence.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You'll enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are an excellent resource to find the best local scenic spots.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can frequently help. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Just before checking out, take a final walk-through to confirm you have not forget any personal items. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • After your trip, leave a review! Property managers rely on great reviews to inspire more bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to remedy it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
