Getting the best rental experience:

Finding your perfect vacation home:

  • Book your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules often become available a year in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups book their Summer vacations during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Carolina Beach area. Book your Carolina Beach rental in Spring or Fall to enjoy warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer.
  • Some owners offer rate reductions for veterans and active duty military. It's always a good idea to check with your host or property manager to see if discounts are available for your family.
  • Property managers frequently offer guests an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
  • Find a copy of your local Carolina Beach area magazine when you check-in. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitor guide magazines contain money saving offers on nearby accommodations and attractions.

Choosing the best vacation rental:

  • Start by having your family select vacation dates and a maximum budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your family needs. Exquisite 5 Bedroom Home w Elevator and Sound View has 6 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed types is generally available online. If they are not listed, email or call the host before reserving the home. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to establish what is optimal for your group.
  • Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement! Pet fees or costs might be applied to your invoice.
  • Are you visiting for a single attraction? Try a map search to locate nearby properties.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.

More tips for your stay:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before traveling. Add a note with the directions to your phone, and take a printed copy.
  • Property managers are there to help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Keep your rental home locked while you are out! Don't let thieves ruin your holiday.
  • To ensure that damages are not linked to your family's stay, note any problem areas during check in. message the property manager immediately to report any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud vacationers bothering your home life. Practice the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and scenic spots you would have not otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, take a walk through the property to make sure you've collected everything. Make sure to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the property one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the host is not available, take photos of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Remember to leave feedback! Hosts rely on great ratings to drive new reservations. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationing families will be thankful you shared your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to solve it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
