Located on the beach, this vacation home is in Long Beach, a neighborhood in Oak Island. Bald Head Island Lighthouse and Old Brunswick County Jail Museum are local landmarks, and some of the area's activities can be experienced at Oak Island Golf Club and The Reserve Golf Club at St. James Plantation. With jet skiing, kayaking, and water skiing nearby, you'll find plenty of adventures in the water.

• Book your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules often become available a year in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rental homes during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
• Summertime is the most expensive season in coastal NC. Booking your vacation home in Spring or Fall is a good way to save on your vacation rental. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of desirable homes. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Carolina Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
• Property management companies sometimes offer special rates for active duty military and veterans. Ask your host or property manager if special discounts are available for your family before you book.

If your rental and/or property management company was great, they would love to hear about it.
