Finding the best rental home value:

• To book the largest rental for your budget, we suggest reserving in Fall or Spring months. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at popular Carolina Beach attractions and restaurants. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Carolina Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
• In the Carolina Beach area, The earlier your group can reserve a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable properties are booked early. Booking your vacation rental 6-12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your rental home.
• Some owners offer special rates for active duty military and veterans. Make sure to check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your family before you book.
• Management companies and individual rental owners often offer their guests an option to add trip insurance protection. • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud visitors disrupting your peace and quiet. Use the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and places you would have never otherwise known!
• Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
• Lock your rental home while you are out. Keep your property safe!
• Re-check the rental property to confirm that you've packed all of your family's items at check-out. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
• Go through the rental one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We recommend walking through with the host whenever you can. If the manager isn't available, take video and pictures of the property to record its condition.
• Did you have a terrific vacation? Many rental management companies make it easy for travelers to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or property manager was fantastic, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was amiss and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
