Tips and Tricks to get the perfect vacation property experience:

Sticking to your budget:

  • In the Carolina Beach area, The sooner your group can reserve a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The best rental homes are booked early. Booking your rental six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental property.
  • Summer is the most expensive season in the Carolina Beach area. Reserve your Carolina Beach rental home in Spring or Fall to get the benefit of gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowds.
  • Hosts sometimes offer special rates for veterans and active duty military. Ask your property manager if special discounts are available for your family.
  • Booking websites often offer guests an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which usually will cost between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed days as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for specifics.
  • Many management companies and vacation rental houses supply Carolina Beach area travel guides which often include money-saving deals, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find Carolina Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Planning and choosing the perfect Carolina Beach rental home:

  • Select a designated group leader, select your trip dates, and select a spending budget.
  • Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. 2BR\/2BA Cottage centrally located in Midtown has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts is regularly accessible online. If you don't see them listed, call the property management company before you book the property. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to determine what configuration is optimal for your group.
  • If your family is traveling with pets, you'll need to search for a pet-friendly rental. Get details on breed, size, and type restrictions. Some property managers charge additional pet fees.
  • If there's an individual Carolina Beach beach you are enamored with, browse rentals that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Remember to confirm all required amenities are available and included before reserving a rental

Tips for a wonderful stay:

  • Add the host's information to your phone. Understand and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, A/V setup or appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents many issues.
  • Lock your vacation home while you are out and about. Protect the owner's property and your things!
  • To make sure that no damages are linked to your stay, make a record of any problem areas upon your arrival. Speak to the host immediately to record your findings. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Respect your neighbors. Frequently, nearby homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking policies is the right thing to do.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • When it's time to leave, take a walk-through to confirm you have not forget anything. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Walk through the rental a final time and look for damage. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the host isn't available, take photos of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your group have a great vacation? Most rental websites make it easy for clients to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or property manager was wonderful, they would love to hear about it. If anything was out of order and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
