How to find the best vacation property experience:

Find your best deal:

  • In the Carolina Beach area, The earlier your group can book, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation homes are booked very early. Reserving your rental home up to 12 months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and book your rental.
  • Summertime is high season in the Carolina Beach area. Book your rental in the Spring or Fall to get the benefit of warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer months.
  • Some owners offer promotional rates for veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your group.
  • Booking websites often offer customers an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which generally will cost you 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for more information.
  • Find a copy of your local Carolina Beach visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, travel guide magazines contain money saving offers on nearby accommodations and attractions.

How to choose the perfect vacation rental in the Carolina Beach area:

  • Select a group leader, select your vacation dates, and choose a max budget.
  • Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Waterway Haven: Family Friendly House Overlooking Intracoastal Waterway has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is generally available on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, call the property owner before reserving the rental. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches.
  • Some properties allow pets, but others don't. Allowable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional fees may apply. Ask the host about pets before booking.
  • If there's a certain Carolina Beach beach you long to visit, browse homes that are either nearby, or those that cater to your needs.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. .

Advice for a fantastic stay:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before leaving home. Save the directions to your smartphone, and take a printed backup.
  • Property managers are great sources of help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Lock your rental home while you're out and about. Protect your property!
  • Note any damages to the rental at check in, and immediately contact the owner. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that can be valuable if a dispute is filed.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable vacationers disrupting your peaceful neighborhood. Use the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and places you would've never otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can frequently help. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • At departure, take a final walk-through to confirm you haven't leave anything behind. Re-check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did you have a great stay? Most rental management companies make it easy for vacationers to provide feedback. If your rental and/or host was terrific, they would love to hear about it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
