Quaint Cottage on the Davis Canal, on the peaceful western end of Oak Island, 1 block from the beach. Gorgeous vistas of the marsh and canal! 2 BRs / 2 Baths (both with showers, no tubs) Full Kitchen with dishwasher and cookware. Wifi and Intelligent TV (no cable service, but you can appreciate Netflix, Amazon Prime and Hulu!)

Great dock with constructed-in seating - fish, crab, launch your kayak, or admire the sunrises and sunsets. Note: floating dock during low tide sits on the bottom - which is more suitable for kayaks. Public boat ramp and the new Lonerider restaurant are one block away!

When to book & When to go:

  • Reserve your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups book their Summer rental homes during Winter holiday gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Reserve your Carolina Beach vacation in the Fall or Spring to enjoy beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host if your group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Property management companies frequently offer customers an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly costs 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for additional information.
  • Find a copy of your local Carolina Beach area magazine upon arrival. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitor guides have coupons for local restaurants, attractions, and tours.

  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is generally available on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the host before reserving your home. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You will need to establish which bed configuration is suitable for your vacation family.
  • Do your family pets travel with you? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your rental agreement! Pet fees or charges might be applied to your contract.
  • If there's a specific Carolina Beach attraction you long to visit, keep an eye out for homes that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. .

  • Double-check the property to make sure that you've packed all of your family's items at departure. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Walk through the rental one final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host isn't available, take video of the property to record its condition.
  • Leave feedback! Property owners rely on excellent feedback to inspire more reservations. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other families will appreciate that you share your review and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to fix it.
