How to get the best rental home experience:

Getting the best rental value:

  • Reserve your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally open a year in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups book their Summer rentals during Winter holiday get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summer is high season in the Carolina Beach area. To book the largest rental home within your budget, we strongly suggest booking in Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at Carolina Beach restaurants, tours, and activities.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host whether your group qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Property managers often offer guests an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
  • Many rental management companies supply Carolina Beach area visitors guides which often include coupons, either offered independently by local companies, or through a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Carolina Beach area magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Finding the perfect rental:

  • First and foremost, have your family decide on the best dates and a spending budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the configuration your group requires. Waterfront home with wrap-around deck has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is almost always accessible on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, call the property manager before reserving the vacation home. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
  • If your group is vacationing with pets, you'll need to find a property that allows animals. Get information on breed, size, and type restrictions. Note that some property managers charge additional pet fees.
  • Are you visiting for a specific event or attraction? If so, use a map search to browse nearby properties.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Remember to confirm all required amenities are available and included before booking

Advice for a great stay:

  • Take a copy of the property manager's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental home. We recommend storing the host's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Property managers are there to help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Ensure you protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by locking the property when you are gone, just like you would back home.
  • Upon arrival, record any issues with the rental property and immediately contact the property manager. Record all coorespondence.
  • Respect the neighborhood. Often, nearby homes are filled by local residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the rental property to make sure you've collected all personal belongings. Re-check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • After your trip, leave feedback! Property managers rely on excellent feedback to propel future bookings. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other families will will be grateful for your experience find their best vacation home. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to fix it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
