Strategies to get the perfect vacation rental experience:

Get the most from your spending budget:

  • Booking your vacation rental in Fall or Spring is an excellent way to save money on your vacation rental. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable properties. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer months.
  • Book your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families reserve their Summer rentals during Winter holiday gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Property management companies sometimes offer rate reductions for veterans. Ask your property manager if rate reductions are available for your family before you book.
  • Property managers typically offer guests an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for specifics.
  • Often, property management companies supply Carolina Beach area visitors guide magazines which include coupons, either offered independently by local companies, or through a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Carolina Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

How to choose and book the rightvacation home:

  • Select a group lead, select your trip dates, and select a budget.
  • Note the number beds and the bed configuration your group needs. This apartment is a 1 bedroom(s), 1 bathrooms, located in Wilmington, NC. has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is commonly available on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the host before reserving the home. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds in living rooms. You'll need to work out what is suitable for your vacation group.
  • If there's a particular Carolina Beach destination you crave, search for homes that are either nearby, or those that cater to your requirements.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are included before reserving a rental
  • Do your family pets travel with you? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask your host before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Extra fees or charges applied to your contract.

Additional considerations:

  • Add the host's contact information to your smartphone. Understand and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • To make certain that damages are not linked to your family's visit, make a record of any problem areas during arrival. message the property manager right away to report your findings. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Hosts are available to help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable vacationers disrupting your peace. Apply the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and places you would've never otherwise known!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by locking the rental while you are gone, just like you would at home.
  • Upon check-out, complete a walk-through to confirm you haven't leave anything behind. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did your group have a wonderful vacation? Many rental management companies make it easy for vacationers to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property manager was great, they would love to hear it. If anything was wrong and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
