Our top Carolina Beach vacation rental booking tips:

When to visit & When to book:

  • The earlier your group can book, the easier your search will be. The best vacation homes are booked very early. Reserving your vacation property six - twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and book your rental.
  • Summertime is the most expensive season in coastal NC. To find the best value, try shifting your trip dates to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and even October offer warmer weather, less crowded beaches, and reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Carolina Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager if your group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Property managers usually offer renters an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
  • Look for your local Carolina Beach visitors guide magazine upon checking in. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, travel guide magazines have coupons for local tours and attractions.

Use filters to narrow your search:

  • Select vacation week and max budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your group requires. The Treehouse by the sea! has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is generally available online. If you don't see them listed, email or call the property management company before reserving the property. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which usually includes pull out couches in living rooms.
  • If your group is traveling with pets, you'll need to search for a rental that allows animals. Ask for information on breed, size, and type restrictions. Some property owners charge additional pet fees.
  • Visiting for a specific attraction? Try a map search to find nearby properties.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are included before reserving a rental

Know before you go:

  • Add the property manager's information to your smartphone. Take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • Property managers are great sources of help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Lock your rental while you're out. Protect your property!
  • To make sure damages aren't attributed to your visit, inspect the property for any problem areas during arrival. Contact the rental manager immediately to record any damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant vacationers bothering your peaceful neighborhood. Use the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and places you would've never otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Double-check the property to confirm that you've packed all of your family's items on check-out day. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Walk through the rental one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the manager is not available, ensure that you take video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did you have a terrific stay? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide comments. If your property and/or property manager was terrific, they would love to hear it. If anything was out of order and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
