Tricks and tips to get the perfect Carolina Beach vacation property experience:

Getting the most from your budget:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Carolina Beach area. Booking in the Spring or Fall is one of our best tips for saving money on your vacation rental. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of acceptable properties.
  • The earlier your group can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable properties are reserved very early. Booking your rental 6-12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and book your vacation rental.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host whether your group qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Property managers often offer customers an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for details.
  • Look for your local Carolina Beach visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitors guide magazines have money saving offers on nearby tours and attractions.

How to choose the perfect vacation rental in Ocean Isle Beach:

  • Choose dates and budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the configuration your group needs. The Strandhouse - Ocean Isle Beach - Walk to Beach and Pool! has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Carolina Beach rentals search.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is regularly available online. If not, email or call the property owner before reserving the vacation home. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull out couches in living rooms.
  • If there's a specific Carolina Beach destination you love, browse properties that are either nearby, or those that cater to your requirements.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Make certain to ask about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
  • Some properties allow pets, and some don't. Acceptable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added fees may apply. Ask the host about allowable pet guidelines before booking.

More tips for your visit:

  • Store the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
  • To make sure no damages are linked to your stay, inspect for any problem areas during arrival. Call the property manager right away to report any issues. If there is a dispute, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Property managers are there to help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are an excellent source for finding the best local spots.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can frequently help. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Lock your rental property while you are out! Don't let crooks ruin your vacation.
  • Just before checking out, take a walk-through to confirm you did not forget any personal items. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Walk through the property a final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise walking through with the host whenever possible. If the property manager is not available, ensure that you take video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your group have a excellent time? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide feedback. If your property and/or property manager was fantastic, they would love to hear it. If anything was wrong and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
