Tips for getting the perfect Carolina Beach rental home experience:

Get the best rental value:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal NC. Booking a rental in Fall or Spring months is our best tip for saving money on your vacation home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable properties. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during June, July, and August.
  • The sooner you can book a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental homes are reserved very early. Booking your vacation home 6-12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and book your vacation home.
  • Hosts sometimes offer discounts for veterans. Ask your host or property manager if discounts are available for your family before you book.
  • Property management companies often offer their guests an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for additional information.
  • Look for your local Carolina Beach visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great information, visitors guides contain discounts for nearby tours, shops, and attractions.

Selecting the perfect rental home:

  • Select a group leader, choose your trip dates, and choose a max budget.
  • Note the number beds and the configuration your family requires. The Bungalow Loft Sum has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts is almost always available online. If you don't see them listed, call the property owner before you reserve your rental. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches.
  • Visiting for a specific attraction? Try a map search to browse nearby rentals.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair accessibility, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
  • If your group is bringing pets, you must reserve a pet-friendly vacation rental. Get information on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Be aware that some property owners require additional pet deposits and fees.

Advice for a smooth stay:

  • Be sure you get the host's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental.
  • Make a record of any issues with the property at check in, and immediately contact the property manager. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that can be useful if damages are attributed to your stay.
  • Hosts are there to help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay more pleasurable. You will magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are often an incredible source for finding the best local scenic spots.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by locking the property when you are out, just like you would at home.
  • Double-check the rental property to confirm that you've packed all of your belongings at departure. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did your group have a fantastic stay? Most rental websites make it easy for guests to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or property manager was fantastic, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was imperfect and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
