Booking the best rental experience:

Getting the best value:

  • Summer is high season in the Carolina Beach area. To find the best value, shift your vacation to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and October offer pleasant weather, less crowded beaches, and reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Carolina Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
  • The earlier you can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental properties are booked early. Reserving your rental home up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and book your vacation rental.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager if your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer guests an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for specifics.
  • Look for your local Carolina Beach visitors guide magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitors guides have money saving offers on nearby tours and attractions.

Narrow your Search:

  • Select a designated group leader, choose your trip dates, and select a budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the configuration your family needs. Station One - 2D- Oceanfront condo community pool, tennis, beach has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is normally available on booking pages. If they are not listed, call the host before you book the home. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds. You'll need to determine what configuration is optimal for your vacation group.
  • If there's a specific Carolina Beach beach you long to visit, keep an eye out for homes that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your desires.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before reserving a rental
  • If your group is bringing pets, you'll need to find a property that allows animals. Request information on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Some property managers require additional pet deposits and fees.

More tips for your visit:

  • Add the host's contact info to your phone. Understand and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • To make sure no damages are attributed to your family's stay, make note of any problem areas when you arrive. Speak to the rental manager immediately to record any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, stereo or coffee maker. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent lots of issues.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome visitors bothering your home life. Employ the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and places you would have never otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can often help. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your things!) by locking the rental when you are out, just like you would back home.
  • At departure, take a final walk-through to make sure you haven't forget anything. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the rental one final time and scan for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the host is not available, remember to take photographs of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did your family have a great time? Many rental home management companies make it easy for guests to provide comments. If your property and/or property manager was great, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was defective and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
