Tips and Tricks to get the very best Carolina Beach vacation rental experience:

Find your perfect rental:

  • Book your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules generally open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rental homes during holiday gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • To find the largest rental home within budget, we highly recommend booking in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at the beach and popular Carolina Beach attractions. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Carolina Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
  • Some property management companies offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your family before you book.
  • Property management companies usually offer their guests an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for more information.
  • Find a copy of your local Carolina Beach visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, travel guides have deals for nearby restaurants, attractions, and tours.

Selecting the best vacation home in Wilmington:

  • Begin by selecting your the best vacation week and a max budget.
  • Note the number beds and the bed configuration your family needs. Seabreeze Away - Pool - Fire Pit - Close 2 Beach! has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed types is commonly accessible online. If they are not listed, email or call the property management company before booking the home. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds in living rooms.
  • If your family is vacationing with pets, you'll need to search for a pet-friendly rental. Request information on breed, weight, and type requirements. Some hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.
  • If there's an individual Carolina Beach beach you love, look for properties that are either close by, or those that cater to your needs.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. .

Have a fantastic stay:

  • Put the owner's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Property managers are great sources of help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Protect the property owner (and your things!) by locking the rental while you are away, just like you would back home.
  • Document any issues with the rental at check in, and immediately send them to the owner. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that are helpful if a dispute is filed.
  • Respect the neighborhood. Often times, adjacent homes are filled by local residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking regulations reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the rental to make sure you've collected everything. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Please make sure to walk through the rental one final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the property manager isn't available, remember to take photos and video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your family have a terrific stay? Most rental management companies make it easy for guests to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or host was great, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was out of order and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
