How to find the best Carolina Beach rental home experience:

Getting the best value:

  • Book your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually open a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups book their Summer rental homes during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summer is the most expensive season in coastal NC. Reserve your Carolina Beach vacation in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons to get the benefit of gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Carolina Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
  • Hosts sometimes offer special rates for active duty military and veterans. Ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your family.
  • Property managers typically offer customers an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for specifics.
  • Often, rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Carolina Beach area visitors guide magazines which will include money-saving deals, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Carolina Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

How to pick the best vacation rental in the Carolina Beach area:

  • Select dates and budget.
  • Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration you need. Rustic 1960's Oceanfront Cottage With Modern Updates has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is usually accessible on booking pages. If they are not listed, email or call the host before booking the home. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You'll need to establish what configuration is optimal for your vacation family.
  • Traveling with pets? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your agreement! Extra fees or costs may be applied to your contract.
  • Visiting for a single event? If so, use a map search to browse nearby rentals.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Remember to confirm all required amenities are available and included before reserving a rental

Advice for a wonderful stay:

  • Add the owner's information to your smartphone. Print and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • Hosts are available to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Lock your rental home while you're out. Keep your property safe!
  • Upon check-in, note any damages to the rental property and immediately alert the host. Record all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
  • Respect your neighbors. Often, nearby homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can typically help. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Just prior to departing, take a final walk-through to confirm you didn't forget anything. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Please make sure to walk through the rental a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We advise walking through with the host whenever possible. If the host isn't available, take pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did you have a great time? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide feedback. If your rental and/or host was great, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was defective and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
