Tips to get the optimal Carolina Beach vacation home experience:

Sticking to your rental home budget:

  • Summer months are the most expensive season along the coast of NC. To find the best rental for your budget, we suggest reserving in the Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at Carolina Beach restaurants, tours, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Carolina Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • In the Carolina Beach area, The sooner your group can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The best vacation rentals are reserved very early. Reserving your vacation home up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental home.
  • Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans. Ask your property manager if special offers are available for your family.
  • Property managers typically offer guests an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
  • Find a copy of your local visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitors guides contain coupons for local shops and restaurants.

How to choose the best vacation home:

  • First, have your group choose trip dates and a max budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the configuration your group requires. BLOWFISH!!Relax in our Beach Bungalow, located within easy access to 46th street has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed types is normally accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, contact the property owner before you book the property. Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds. You will need to work out what is right for your trip.
  • Does your group require special amenities? Most rental websites include amenity lists and search filters. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. .
  • Some rental properties allow pets, and others do not. Allowable types of family pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional charges may apply. Ask your host about your furry family members before booking.

Tips for your stay:

  • Get the property manager's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your .
  • To ensure that damages aren't linked to your stay, note any problem areas during check in. Call the property manager right away to report any issues. If there is a dispute, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, elevator or thermostat. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent quite a few issues.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant vacationers disrupting your peace and quiet. Use the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and scenic spots you would have not otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by locking the rental while you are away, just like you would back home.
  • Upon check-out, complete a walk-through to make sure you have not forget any personal items. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the rental one final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest walking through with the host whenever possible. If the property manager is not available, ensure that you take photographs of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your family have a wonderful vacation? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for guests to provide reviews. If your rental and/or property manager was wonderful, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was defective and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
