June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal NC. To find the best value, try shifting your family's Carolina Beach trip dates to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and even October offer warm weather, , and reduced traffic.
Some property management companies offer rate reductions for veterans and active duty military. It's always a good idea to check with your host or property manager to see if special discounts are available for your family.
Property management companies usually offer guests an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches. You will need to work out what bed configuration is suitable for your group.
