Tips for getting the perfect vacation property experience:

Get the most from your rental budget:

  • Summer months are high season in the Carolina Beach area. To get the most suitable rental within your budget, we recommend reserving in Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at Carolina Beach restaurants, beaches, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer months.
  • Book your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups book their Summer rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Some property management companies offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans. Ask your host or property manager if discounts are available for your group.
  • Property managers often offer renters an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for additional information.
  • Many property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Carolina Beach area visitors guide magazines which often include special offers, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Selecting the perfect rental in the Carolina Beach area:

  • Start by having your group choose a vacation week and a max budget.
  • Note the number beds and the configuration your group requires. Pet Friendly -Fenced Backyard - Perfect Beach Getaway! Private Bungalow w\/ living Space! has 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed types is usually accessible online. If you don't see them listed, call the property management company before booking the vacation property. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds. You'll need to determine what is optimal for your group.
  • Visiting for a single attraction? If so, use a map search to browse nearby properties.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. .
  • Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your property manager before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Additional pet fees or charges applied to your invoice.

More tips for your stay:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Save the directions to your smartphone, and take a printed backup.
  • Document any issues with the rental at check in, and immediately contact the owner. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that can be helpful if there is a dispute.
  • Property managers are great sources of help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome visitors disrupting your quiet neighborhood. Practice the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and attractions you would have never otherwise known!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can typically help. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Lock your rental home while you are out. Protect your property!
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, walk through the rental property to reconfirm you've collected all personal belongings. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Walk through the rental one final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the host is not available, take video and pictures of the property to record its condition.
  • Did your family have a wonderful stay? Many rental management companies make it easy for customers to provide comments. If your rental property and/or property manager was great, they would love to hear about it. If anything was out of order and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
