Strategies for getting the best Carolina Beach vacation home experience:

Money saving strategies:

  • Summer months are high season in Holden Beach. Book your Carolina Beach rental property in the Fall or Spring to enjoy beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Carolina Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
  • In the Carolina Beach area, The sooner your group can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental properties are booked early. Booking your vacation home up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and book your vacation rental.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host whether your family qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer their guests an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
  • Find a copy of your local Carolina Beach visitors guide magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, visitors guide magazines contain deals for nearby accommodations, tours and attractions.

Selecting the best rental home in the Carolina Beach area:

  • First and foremost, have your group commit to the best dates and a max budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the bed configuration your family requires. Oceanfront Cottage with Great Views! has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is regularly accessible online. If you don't see them listed, email or call the property owner before you reserve your rental. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches.
  • If there's an individual Carolina Beach attraction you are enamored with, look for rentals that are either close by, or those that cater to your requirements.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. .
  • If your group is traveling with pets, you must book a property that allows animals. Get specifics on breed, size, and type restrictions. Usually, hosts charge additional pet fees.

Some things to know before you go:

  • Take a copy of the owner's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your rental home.
  • Document any issues with the rental at check in, and immediately send them to the owner. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that are valuable if a dispute arises.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, television set or WIFI setup. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent lots of difficulties.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud visitors bothering your peace and quiet. Practice the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and places you would've never otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by locking the rental when you are away, just like you would at home.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, walk through the property to confirm you've collected all personal items. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did your group have a great stay? Many rental managers make it easy for vacationers to provide feedback. If your property and/or property management company was fantastic, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was imperfect and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
