About this Property

  • Sleeps 8
  • 3 Bedrooms
  • 4 Bathrooms
  • Private vacation home
  • Approximately 1500 square feet

Please Check Out the Update Section at the Bottom. I am Constantly Improving Your Feel.

3 Bedroom (one bedroom is the loft) with Private HEATED Pool (no additional fee April-October for heated pool like most units), Pool Table, Ping Pong Table, Tiki Bar, Air Hockey, Foose Ball, On the Water

The 54 Richmond Street bungalow is a astounding, professionally landscaped beach vacation destination with a private swimming pool in back yard (not under the home). The bungalow includes a private 20x8 foot dock with ladder on deep cement canal available for boating and swimming. The entirely enclosed underneath of this bungalow features the following amazing vacation amenities:

Underneath the home:
1) a professional-sized pool table
2) a professional-sized ping pong table
3) a bar area that opens to the back deck
4) a bathroom
5) two TV's
6) a gas grille
7) a refrigerator/freezer
8) stairs leading up into the main level of the bungalow.
9) Air Hockey Table
10) Foose Ball Table
11) Fishing rods to use off dock or beach. Technically, if 16 or older, you need a NC Saltwater fishing license. However, it is not likely you will be checked on the dock or the beach. If in a boat, very likely you will be stopped and EVERYONE on the boat will need a fishing license if ONE rod is on the boat, no exceptions from the game warden)
12. Enclosed hot water outdoor shower. Please wash off after trips to the beach before getting into the poor or home.

The main level of the bungalow features three bedrooms (the loft is counted as one of the bedrooms), two full baths, three TV’s, washer, dryer, loft, enormous great room, covered front and back porches, and more – all porches painted in 2018 and the front porch was repainted in 2021. The property originally was constructed with an additional bedroom that has been knocked out to create a bigger sitting area.

This bungalow is attractively located on a cement canal 1 lot away from the corner at the end of Richmond Street - safe for kids to play in the street as there is not much traffic. Fishing is generally better at the end of streets as you can cast into the Richmond Street Canal or the Main canal running along Craven Street from the dock.

The 54 Richmond Street bungalow is on the right side of the street; at Ocean Isle this puts the hot afternoon sun on the front of the home keeping the back yard mostly in the shade after 1 pm, which is ideal for grilling, swimming, and playing.

Two full baths on main level of bungalow, and half bath underneath bungalow and a enclosed hot water shower outside.

Fridge/Freezer upstairs, and another refrigerator/freezer are supplied underneath bungalow.

No Extra Charge for Heated Pool April-October. We can talk about heating the pool based on the weather in March and November, so please ask. I keep the pool at 85. Industry standard is 80 to 83 with a max recommended from the health department is 84 to 85. Guest are not allowed to adjust the pool temp, but I will have someone lower the temp if desired (not likely this will be wanted). I have the biggest heater made for a pool (it will heat a pool well over 10 times the size at the property), but if booking in early April, or late October there is no guarantee the heater can keep up if the weather is abnormally cold.

Tips and Tricks to get the best Carolina Beach vacation rental experience:

How to get the best value:

  • Book your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacation rentals during holiday gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal NC. To book the best vacation home for your budget, we recommend reserving in Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at local restaurants, tours, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Carolina Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host whether your group qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer customers an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for more information.
  • Look for your local visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitor guide magazines have money saving offers on local tours, shops, and attractions.

Use filters to search efficiently:

  • Begin by selecting your the best vacation week and a budget.
  • Note the number beds and the bed configuration your family requires. Ocean Isle Beach, NC Cement Canal Lot With HEATED Private Pool has 3 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is normally accessible online. If you don't see them listed, email the host before booking the vacation home. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds in living rooms.
  • Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement! Additional pet fees or charges may be applied to your invoice.
  • If there's a specific Carolina Beach attraction you love, look for homes that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your needs.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before booking

Advice for your stay:

  • We recommend storing the host's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, elevator or kitchen appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents lots of difficulties.
  • Protect the owner (and your stuff!) by locking the property while you are away, just like you would at home.
  • To make sure damages are not linked to your visit, make note of any problem areas upon your arrival. text the rental manager immediately to relay any issues. If there is a dispute, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Respect your neighbors. Often times, nearby homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking regulations reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Just prior to departing, take a walk-through to make sure you have not forget anything. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Remember to leave feedback! Property managers rely on excellent reviews to drive more reservations. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationing families will will be grateful for your review and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
