Tips for getting the perfect Carolina Beach rental home experience:

When to book & When to go:

  • To get the best value, try changing your trip dates to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and even October offer warmer temperatures, less crowded beaches, and greatly reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Carolina Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
  • The earlier you can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The best vacation homes are reserved early. Reserving your rental six to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental home.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host if your family qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Booking websites frequently offer their guests an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for more information.
  • Look for your local visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitors guides have coupons for local tours and attractions.

Choosing the perfect rental in the Carolina Beach area:

  • Select vacation week and max budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration your group needs. Ocean Front, Spacious, Dog Friendly End Unit, Best Views, Pools, near N End Pier has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed types is normally available on booking pages. If not, contact the host before reserving your rental. Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds.
  • Are you visiting for a single event or attraction? If so, use a map search to find nearby rentals.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. .
  • If your group is traveling with pets, you'll need to book a property that allows animals. Make sure to ask for information on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Note that some hosts charge pet deposits and fees.

Some things to know before you go:

  • Add the host's contact info to your smartphone. Understand and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
  • Make a record of any issues with the property during check in, and immediately send them to the property manager. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that can be valuable if there is a dispute.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, stereo or kitchen appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent lots of concerns.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud visitors bothering your quiet neighborhood. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and places you would have not otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Keep your rental home locked while you are away! Don't let crooks spoil your trip.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, take a walk through the rental property to make sure you've collected everything. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the property a final time and look for any damage. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the property manager is not available, remember to take video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Leave a review! Hosts rely on great ratings to propel more reservations. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to fix it.
