Imagine you & your family walking to the beach past the park where kids are playing in the splash pad or climbing on the monkey bars, playing basketball or tennis. The complimentary outdoor concerts located at Middleton Park in the summer are all within 5 mins. walking distance. In fact, the grocery store, eateries and bars are also within walking distance. The kitchen is definitely gorgeous after a recent remodel and completely outfitted with dishes, pots and pans, too.

You'll appreciate the colors throughout the home because they're so happy and cheerful. You can sit on the covered porches out back or in the front as you watch the sunrise or sun set on the handsome Oak Island.

Tips to get the perfect Carolina Beach rental experience:

Money saving strategies:

  • The sooner you can reserve a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental homes are reserved early. Reserving your rental property six to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and book your vacation home.
  • Summer time is high season in Oak Island. To find the best rental home within budget, we highly recommend booking in the Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at restaurants, beaches, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Carolina Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host whether your group qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Property managers usually offer their guests an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for more information.
  • Look for your local Carolina Beach area magazine upon arrival. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local stories, travel guides have discounts for nearby shops and restaurants.

How to pick the perfect rental in the Carolina Beach area:

  • Begin by choosing the best vacation week and a spending budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration you need. The Island House is close to the beach with pool table and hot tub. has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is normally accessible online. If they are not listed, reach out to the property management company before booking your rental. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which typically includes pull out couches in living rooms.
  • Some properties allow pets, and some do not. Allowable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask your host about your furry family members before booking.
  • Looking for special amenities? Most rental websites include search filters for amenities. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find the perfect rental.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.

Have a fantastic stay:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before leaving home. Add a note with the directions to your phone, and take a printed copy.
  • Hosts are great sources of help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Keep the property locked while you are out! Don't let thieves ruin your holiday.
  • At Check-in, note any damages to the rental property and immediately contact the host. Keep records of all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant vacationers bothering your home life. Practice the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and attractions you would have not otherwise known!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Upon check-out, complete a final walk-through to confirm you didn't forget any personal items. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the property a final time and scan for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the property manager isn't available, remember to take photos of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Leave feedback! Hosts rely on great feedback to inspire new bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.
