How to get the best rental experience:

Find your perfect rental:

  • Reserve your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups book their Summer vacation rentals during holiday gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summer months are high season in the Carolina Beach area. To find the best value, try shifting your vacation week to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and even October offer pleasant temperatures, , and reduced traffic.
  • Property management companies sometimes offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your property manager if special discounts are available for your family.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer guests an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which generally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for details.
  • Often, property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Carolina Beach area travel guides which include special deals, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Carolina Beach area magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

How to select the perfect vacation home:

  • First and foremost, have your group select the best dates and a spending budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the bed configuration you need. Nikki’s Quiet Little Island Getaway has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is regularly accessible online. If they are not listed, call the host before booking the home. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which often includes pull out couches in living rooms. You'll need to determine what bed configuration is best for your group.
  • If your group is bringing pets, you must book a pet-friendly property. Ask for details on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Be aware that some hosts charge additional pet fees.
  • Are you visiting for a single attraction or event? Try a map search to browse nearby properties.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.

Some things to know before you go:

  • Get the property manager's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental property.
  • Hosts are available to help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
  • Lock your rental property while you're gone! Don't let thieves ruin your family vacation.
  • Note any issues with the property during check in, and immediately contact the host. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be helpful if a dispute is filed.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant vacationers disrupting your life at home. Apply the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and attractions you would've not otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the rental to make sure you've collected everything. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the rental a final time and scan for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the manager is not available, ensure that you take photos and video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did you have a excellent time? Most rental management companies make it easy for vacationers to provide reviews. If your property and/or property management company was great, they would love to hear it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
