Tricks and tips to get the perfect vacation home experience:
Finding your best deal:
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Carolina Beach. To get the largest rental home within your budget, we suggest reserving in Fall or Spring months. You'll benefit from lower rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of giant crowds at local restaurants, tours, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Carolina Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
- Reserve your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups book their Summer rentals during Thanksgiving and Christmas get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host if your vacationing group qualifies for a special rate.
- Booking websites frequently offer customers an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for more information.
- Many management companies supply Carolina Beach area visitors guides which will include coupons, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Planning, picking, and booking your Carolina Beach rental home:
- Start by having your family commit to vacation dates and a budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration your family needs. 1010 Relax, Unwind, Enjoy by Atlantic Towers has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Carolina Beach rental home search.
- Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is usually accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, email the property management company before you reserve the vacation property. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull out couches in living rooms. You will need to determine what configuration is optimal for your group.
- Are you looking for special amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters with amenity lists.
- Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
- If your family is traveling with pets, you'll need to find a property that allows animals. Request details on breed, size, and type requirements. Some hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.
Advice for a fantastic stay:
- Get the host's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental.
- Upon check-in, record any issues with the property and immediately contact the host. Keep records of all coorespondence.
- Hosts are there to help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay more pleasurable. You will increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a fantastic resource to find the best local beaches.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can usually help. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Lock your rental home while you're away. Keep your property safe!
- Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the rental property to reconfirm you've collected all personal items. Re-check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Walk through the property one final time and keep an eye out for damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the host is not available, remember to take pictures of the rental to record its condition.
- Did you have a terrific vacation? Most rental home management companies make it easy for customers to provide comments. If your rental and/or property management company was great, they would love to hear it. If anything was defective and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
