Our top Vacation rental tips and tricks:

Getting the most from your rental budget:

  • Summer months are high season in the Carolina Beach area. Reserving a rental home in the Fall or Spring is our best tip for saving money on your rental home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of desirable homes. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August.
  • Reserve your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often open a year in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families book their Summer rental homes during holiday gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager if your family qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
  • Booking websites often offer customers an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
  • Look for your local Carolina Beach visitors guide magazine when you check-in. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local articles, visitors guides contain deals for nearby accommodations, restaurants and tours.

Make a plan and pick a perfectrental:

  • Choose a designated group leader, choose your trip dates, and choose a budget.
  • Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. 0611 Endless Horizon by Atlantic Towers has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is usually available online. If they are not listed, contact the property management company before reserving your home. Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds and bunks. You will need to establish what configuration is optimal for your vacation family.
  • Visiting for a single event or attraction? Try a map search to find nearby properties.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. .
  • Remember to include your furry companions! Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask your host before booking, and study your agreement! Additional pet fees or may be applied to your agreement.

More considerations for your visit:

  • Take a copy of the host's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental home. We recommend storing the host's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Note any damages to the rental upon arrival, and immediately contact the property manager. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that are very helpful if a dispute is filed.
  • Hosts are great sources of help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable vacationers disrupting your quiet neighborhood. Practice the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and scenic spots you would have not otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can frequently help. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Protect the property owner (and your things!) by locking the property while you are away, just like you would back home.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the rental property to confirm you've collected all of your things. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Walk through the property one final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend walking through with the host whenever you can. If the host isn't available, remember to take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did your family have a excellent stay? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide reviews. If your property and/or property manager was fantastic, they would love to hear about it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
