Tips and Tricks to get the best rental home experience:

Sticking to a rental budget:

  • June, July, and August are high season in the Carolina Beach area. To get the best value, try changing your family's Carolina Beach vacation week to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and October offer warmer weather, , and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Carolina Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • Book your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally open a year in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rentals during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Property managers sometimes offer discounts for veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your family before you book.
  • Booking websites often offer guests an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for more information.
  • Find a copy of your local Carolina Beach area magazine upon checking in. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great articles, visitor guides contain money saving offers on nearby attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.

Planning and choosing the best Carolina Beach vacation home:

  • Start by selecting your potential vacation weeks and a spending budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration your group requires. 0514 Double The Pleasure by Atlantic Towers has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed types is generally accessible on booking pages. If they are not listed, call the property owner before you reserve the vacation property. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches.
  • Looking for specific amenities? Most rental search websites include amenity lists and search filters. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. .
  • Some rentals allow pets, but others do not. Acceptable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask your host about allowable breeds and types before booking.

Some things to know before you go:

  • Be sure you get the property manager's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental home.
  • To make certain that damages are not linked to your stay, record any problem areas when you arrive. Speak to the rental manager immediately to relay any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Property managers are there to help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious visitors disrupting your peaceful neighborhood. Practice the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and scenic spots you would have never otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your things!) by keeping the rental locked up while you are out, just like you would back home.
  • Just before checking out, take a final walk-through to make sure you didn't forget anything. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did your group have a excellent time? Most rental management companies make it easy for vacationers to provide comments. If your rental property and/or host was wonderful, they would love to hear about it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
