Tricks and tips to get the perfect Carolina Beach vacation rental experience:

Finding your perfect rental home:

  • Summer is high season in the Carolina Beach area. To find the largest rental within budget, we strongly suggest reserving in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of giant crowds at your favorite restaurants and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer months.
  • Book your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually become available a year in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacation rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Some property management companies offer promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Check with your host or property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your family.
  • Property managers typically offer renters an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for details.
  • Look for your local Carolina Beach area magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitor guide magazines contain money saving offers on local accommodations and attractions.

How to select the perfect vacation rental in Carolina Beach:

  • Select dates and spending budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration you need. 0305 Mako Your Dreams Come True by Atlantic Towers has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts is usually accessible online. Otherwise, reach out to the host before you reserve the property. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds and bunks.
  • If there's a particular Carolina Beach attraction you are enamored with, keep an eye out for properties that are either close by, or those that cater to your needs.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before booking
  • Some rental properties allow pets, but some don't. Allowable types of family pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional charges may apply. Ask the property manager about your furry family members before booking.

Considerations for your stay:

  • Add the property manager's contact info to your phone. Print and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
  • To ensure that no damages are linked to your stay, inspect for any problem areas during check in. Call the rental manager right away to document any damages. If there is a dispute, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, stereo or coffee maker. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief call prevents many problems.
  • Don't forget to respect your neighbors. Often times, adjacent homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting noise limits and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Lock your rental while you're out and about. Protect the owner's property and your things!
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, walk through the rental to make sure you've collected all belongings. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the rental one final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager isn't available, remember to take video of the rental to record its condition.
  • Remember to leave feedback! Hosts rely on great feedback to stimulate new reservations. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other families will be thankful you shared your feedback find their best vacation home. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.
