Our top Carolina Beach rental home tips and tricks:

How to get the best rental home value:

  • In the Carolina Beach area, The sooner you can book, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental homes are reserved very early. Booking your rental property 6-12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and book your vacation rental.
  • Summer months are the most expensive season in Carolina Beach. Reserving a rental home in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons is our best tip for saving money on your rental home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable homes.
  • Some hosts and property managers offer special rates for active duty military and veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your property manager to see if discounts are available for your family before you book.
  • Property management companies usually offer guests an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for specifics.
  • Look for your local Carolina Beach area magazine upon arrival. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great information, travel guides contain deals for local attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.

Planning and choosing a perfect Carolina Beach rental:

  • Start by selecting your a vacation week and a budget.
  • Note the number beds and the bed configuration your group needs. New Listing - Tequila Sunrise - Ocean View, dog friendly, 4 bedroom 3 bath has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Precise details about bedrooms and bed counts & types is generally accessible on booking pages. Otherwise, email the host before booking your home. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull out couches in living rooms. You will need to determine what is right for your vacation group.
  • Some rental properties allow pets, but others don't. Acceptable types of pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added fees may apply. Ask the property manager about allowable pet guidelines before booking.
  • If there's an individual Carolina Beach beach you simply love, look for properties that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Remember to confirm all required amenities are included before reserving a rental

More considerations for your visit:

  • Take a copy of the host's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your . Store the host's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Hosts are available to help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Lock your vacation home while you are out and about. Keep your property safe!
  • Make a record of any issues with the rental upon arrival, and immediately e-mail them to the property manager. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that can be useful if damages are assessed.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay more pleasurable. You'll magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are usually an excellent resource to find the best local restaurants, beaches, and hangouts.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • When it's time to leave, complete a walk-through to confirm you haven't forget anything. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Leave a review! Property managers rely on excellent ratings to inspire new bookings. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
