Find your perfect rental:

  • Summer months are high season in Oak Island. To get the best value, try shifting your group's trip dates to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer warmer weather, fewer crowds, and reduced traffic.   • Book your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules often become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends).   • Ensure you protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by keeping the rental locked up while you are out, just like you would at home.
  • Re-check every room of the rental property to make sure that you've packed all personal items at departure. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the rental a final time and scan for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager isn't available, take video and pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • After your trip, leave a review! Property managers rely on great ratings to compel more reservations. They'll be much obliged for your feedback.
