About this Property

  • 2 Bathrooms
  • Cottage
  • Approximately 1200 square feet

This centrally-located new high-end bungalow is a ideal home away from home.
The space
This brand new and handsome 1200 square-foot guest bungalow is located within a historic estate on Market Street. Our family of 5 lives in the main home. The bungalow is completely private with a shared driveway. The listing is new; I am a seasoned Airbnb “Superhost” with multiple listings and hundreds of 5-star reviews. The bungalow is a unique and handsome, comfortable space with a magnificant kitchen, two bedrooms two bathrooms plus a dedicated office. The furnishings are high-end, with a nod to mid-century stylings. The beds are brand new and comfortable. This is a space best suited for visiting professionals who want to be close to downtown/the airport/shopping. It is comfortably equipped for four but does not feel too sizable for one or two. We are located an acre of land on Market Street, set back from the road. Outside there is a hum of Market St. traffic but inside it cannot be heard. Stunning mature trees all around the property give the bungalow a located-in feel. Plenty of parking, in close proximity to the airport, downtown. 15 mins. to Wrightsville Beach.
Guest access
Guests have access to the entire bungalow which is a private dwelling unattached from the main home. Parking is plentiful and shared with main home.
Other things to note
This is not a pet friendly space. It is located at the intersection of 26th and market Street. Visitors should have a car or plan to Uber downtown which is about a five min. drive.

Carolina Beach rental home booking tips and tricks:

How to get the best value:

  • Summer months are high season in Wilmington. Booking your vacation home in the Fall or Spring is our best tip for saving money on your vacation home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable homes.
  • In the Carolina Beach area, The earlier your group can book a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are booked very early. Reserving your rental up to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and book your vacation rental.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host if your group qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Booking websites often offer renters an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for details.
  • Often, rental management companies supply Carolina Beach area visitors guide magazines which include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Carolina Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Choosing the best rental home in Wilmington:

  • Start by selecting trip dates and a spending budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. New! Charming Cottage on Forest Hills Estate has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is usually accessible on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, contact the property manager before reserving the home. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You will need to determine what configuration is suitable for your vacation.
  • Visiting for a single attraction? Use a map search to browse nearby rentals.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
  • Some properties allow pets, but some don't. Acceptable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask the host about allowable pet guidelines before booking.

During your stay:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before leaving home. Take a printed copy, and save the directions to your phone.
  • To make certain no damages are linked to your stay, make note of any problem areas when you arrive. Call the property manager right away to relay any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Property managers are there to help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious visitors disrupting your peace and quiet. Practice the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and places you would have never otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Protect the owner (and your stuff!) by locking and securing the home when you are gone, just like you would back home.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, walk through the property to reconfirm you've collected all personal items. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the property one final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the host is not available, ensure that you take photographs of the property to record its condition.
  • After your trip, leave a review! Property owners rely on great feedback to stimulate future reservations. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationers will will be grateful for your review and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
