Tricks and tips to get the perfect Carolina Beach vacation rental experience:

When to reserve a Carolina Beach rental home & When to go:

  • To find the most suitable rental home within your budget, we recommend booking in Fall or Spring months. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at popular Carolina Beach attractions and restaurants. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the high season.
  • In the Carolina Beach area, The sooner your group can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The best rental homes are reserved early. Reserving your vacation rental up to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental home.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host if your vacationing group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Property managers typically offer customers an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for specifics.
  • Find a copy of your local Carolina Beach area magazine when you check-in. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, visitor guide magazines contain offers and deals for local tours and attractions.

How to select the best rental:

  • Select dates and max budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your family needs. My Great Escape: Ocean View Condo with Seasonal Community Pool on Caswell Beach has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed types is regularly accessible on booking websites. If not, call the property manager before you reserve the vacation property. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds.
  • If there's an individual Carolina Beach beach you are crazy about, keep an eye out for rentals that are either close by, or those that cater to your desires.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. .
  • Do your family pets travel with you? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Pet fees or charges may be applied to your agreement.

During your stay:

  • Store the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Upon arrival, document any issues with the property and immediately contact the property manager. Record all coorespondence.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, intercom or thermostat. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent quite a few issues.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay more pleasurable. You will increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually an incredible resource to find the best local attractions.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Ensure you protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by keeping the rental locked up while you are gone, just like you would back home.
  • On check-out day, complete a walk-through to make sure you haven't leave anything behind. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Please make sure to walk through the property one final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise walking through with the host whenever you can. If the host is not available, take photos of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did you have a great time? Many rental management companies make it easy for clients to provide comments. If your rental and/or property management company was fantastic, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was out of order and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
