Vacation rental booking tips:

When to go & When to reserve a Wilmington rental home:

  • Book your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules generally become available a year in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families book their Summer rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • To get the most suitable vacation home within your budget, we recommend reserving in Fall or Spring months. You'll benefit from lower rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at your favorite Carolina Beach restaurants and activities. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the high season.
  • Property management companies sometimes offer promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Make sure to check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your family before you book.
  • Property managers typically offer customers an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for additional information.
  • Look for your local Carolina Beach visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, visitor guide magazines have money saving offers on nearby restaurants, attractions, and tours.

How to choose the best vacation home in the Carolina Beach area:

  • Select a group lead, select your dates, and choose a maximum budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration your group requires. Midtown hideaway has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed types is regularly available on booking websites. If they are not listed, email the property owner before you reserve your home. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds and bunks.
  • If your group is vacationing with pets, you'll need to find a rental that allows animals. Request specifics on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Often, hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.
  • Visiting for a specific attraction? Use a map search to find nearby rentals.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. .

More tips for your visit:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before leaving home. Take a printed copy, and add a note with the instructions to your smartphone.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, elevator or coffee maker. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent lots of problems.
  • Keep your rental home locked while you are away! Don't let thieves spoil your vacation.
  • To ensure that no damages are attributed to your stay, record any problem areas when you arrive. Get in touch with the host right away to report any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious visitors disrupting your peaceful home life. Apply the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and scenic spots you would've not otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Double-check the rental property to confirm that you've packed all of your belongings on check-out day. Make sure to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the property one final time and scan for any damage. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the host isn't available, ensure that you take video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Remember to leave a review! Property managers rely on good ratings to stimulate future bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationing families will will be grateful for your experience find their best vacation rental. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to solve it.
