Tips and Tricks to get the perfect Carolina Beach vacation property experience:

Getting the most from your spending budget:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of NC. To book the most suitable rental for your budget, we strongly suggest reserving in the Spring or Fall. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at your favorite Carolina Beach restaurants and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Carolina Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • Reserve your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules often become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families book their Summer vacation rentals during Thanksgiving and Christmas get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer rate reductions for veterans. Ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your family before you book.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners often offer customers an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
  • Often, rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Carolina Beach area visitor guides which often include coupons, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Carolina Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Planning and picking your prefectrental home:

  • Choose vacation week and maximum budget.
  • Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. Luxury Canal Home, Gorgeous views short walk to beach! 5 bedroom, 5 bathroom has 6 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is usually accessible on booking pages. Otherwise, email the property owner before booking the rental. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds. You'll need to determine what is best for your family.
  • Are you visiting for a specific event or attraction? If so, use a map search to browse nearby rentals.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before reserving a rental.
  • If your group is vacationing with pets, you'll need to book a pet-friendly vacation rental. Ask for specifics on breed, size, and type requirements. Often, hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.

Some things to know before you go:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before traveling. Add a note with the directions to your phone, and take a printed copy.
  • To make sure damages are not linked to your stay, inspect the rental for any problem areas upon check in. Make contact with the rental manager right away to document your findings. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, television set or thermostat. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent lots of difficulties.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay more pleasurable. You will increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors can be an incredible resource to find the best local beaches and restaurants.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Lock your rental home while you're away. Protect your property!
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, walk through the rental property to reconfirm you've collected all belongings. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Leave a review! Property managers rely on excellent reviews to compel more bookings. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your review and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to solve it.
