Tricks and tips for getting the best rental home experience:

Get the most from your rental budget:

  • The sooner you can reserve a home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are reserved early. Reserving your vacation rental up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and book your rental property.
  • Book your vacation in Fall or Spring months to enjoy warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Carolina Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
  • Property managers sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans. Check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your group before you book.
  • Property management companies typically offer their guests an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for more information.
  • Look for your local Carolina Beach visitors guide magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitors guide magazines contain money saving offers on local tours, shops, and attractions.

Choosing and booking the bestvacation home:

  • Select vacation dates and budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration your group needs. Luxe Blue- Oceanfront Retreat\n\n has 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is generally accessible on booking pages. If they are not listed, call the property owner before you reserve your home. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches.
  • If your group is bringing pets, you'll need to find a pet-friendly rental. Make sure to ask for specifics on breed, size, and type requirements. Be aware that some property managers charge additional pet fees.
  • Visiting for a specific event? If so, use a map search to find nearby properties.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before reserving a rental.

More tips for your stay:

  • Store the owner's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, elevator or coffee maker. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent a lot of concerns.
  • Lock your rental home while you're away. Protect your property!
  • Upon arrival, make note of any issues with the property and immediately alert the owner. Record all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are usually an excellent source for finding the best local beaches and restaurants.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can frequently help. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, walk through the property to make sure you've collected all belongings. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did your family have a wonderful time? Many rental managers make it easy for travelers to provide feedback. If your rental and/or host was great, they would love to hear it. If anything was out of order and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
