The home itself has a handsome front porch with a porch swing and rocking chairs, the ideal coffee spot for your friends and family! The crowd favorite is your own personal bar, The Lazy Lookout Parlor. This unique outdoor area comes with a full-sized refrigerator, an ice machine, and even a 60 inch intelligent TV.

Also, we have supplied surfboards, body boards, loads of sand toys, and beach games to make sure you get the most out of Oak Island! We ask that you bring your own sheets and towels or there is an option to add linen services 30 days before your arrival. The linen service includes fresh sheets and towels for the price of $150. If you find that during your stay you need fresh clothes or towels there is a laundry room downstairs for your use. It is supplied with laundry detergent and dryer sheets! Tips and Tricks to get the very best vacation property experience:

When to book a Carolina Beach rental & When to go:

  • To get the best value, consider changing your trip dates to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and even October offer pleasant temperatures, fewer crowds, and greatly reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Carolina Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
  • The sooner you can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The best properties are reserved early. Reserving your vacation property up to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and book your rental home.
  • Some owners offer discounts for veterans. Check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your family before you book.
  • Booking websites usually offer guests an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for more information.
  • Look for your local Carolina Beach visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitor guides contain coupons for local shops and restaurants.

Finding the best rental home in the Carolina Beach area:

  • Start by choosing your trip dates and a budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the configuration your group needs. Loving the Lazy Lookout ??Beachview\/Access and Pet Friendly??4BR, 2 BA has 5 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts & types is usually available online. Otherwise, email the property owner before booking your home. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches. You'll need to determine what configuration is suitable for your vacation group.
  • Visiting for a specific event? If so, use a map search to browse nearby rentals.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all required amenities are included before reserving a rental.
  • If your family is bringing pets, you'll need to book a rental that allows animals. Ask for information on breed, size, and type requirements. Usually, property owners charge pet deposits and fees.

Some things to know before you go:

  • Add the host's contact info to your smartphone. Print and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • At Check-in, record any damages to the property and immediately contact the property manager. Record all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
  • Property managers are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay more pleasurable. You'll magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a great resource to find the best local restaurants, beaches, and hangouts.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Protect the rental owner (and your things!) by locking the rental while you are gone, just like you would at home.
  • Just before checking out, take a walk-through to make sure you did not leave anything behind. Re-check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • After your trip, leave a review! Property owners rely on good ratings to compel future bookings. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other families will will be grateful for your experience find their best rental home. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
